Included on this programme is the premiere of a new work especially composed for Amici by a student composer at the Claude Watson School for the Arts.

Les Six versus Saint-Saëns - more info
Camille Saint-Saëns wasn't a big fan of the style and the novelties of
Les Six, and Amici thought we might reconcile them... post
mortem. Joining us in our mission is virtuoso violinist Yehonatan
Berick in an exciting programme which includes Saint-Saëns' passionate
Piano Quintet , Darius Milhaud's witty Ox on the roof, with
its tango and samba rhythms, Francis Poulenc's charming Clarinet
Sonata and Honegger's Duo for violin and cello. Les Six at their
bouncy best!

programme featuring the songs of Jewish-Czech composer Viktor Ullmann,
Ukrainian composer Kyrylo Stetsenko and Armenian composer Father
Gomidas, all three of whom, were victims of genocide. Chamber works by
Gideon Klein and Erwin
Schulhoff, who shared the same fate, complete this fascinating
programme..
